  • TRISTAN BARBER

    Production / Writer, Performer

Tristan Barber is a Brussels-based standup comic, performance artist and improviser with a passion for the strange and unexpected. With a background in EU politics, his comedy covers a wide range of topics through a uniquely cynical yet playful and energetic tone – he is Canadian after all.
Tristan is the co-producer of the Love Letters to Satan cabaret and one half of the online Super Fun Comedy show.

  • BARRY MCKEON

External relations, Comms / Writer, Performer

Barry got into comedy when a well-intentioned friend coaxed him into a late-night open mic in Berlin in 2010. There, he co-founded the musical comedy group A Spoonful of Deutschland, bringing German history to life through the power of Disney, hosted and performed in Berlin’s burgeoning comedy scene.

Lobbyist by day, Barry has been performing on stages in Belgium, the Netherlands and Ireland since 2016, helping found the “Insecure & Dangereux” comedy nights.

  • DANIEL MORA

    Administration, Finance / Writer, Performer

Dani joined the Schuman Show in October 2022. Originally hired to provide sangria and olives to the team, he was offered to join when he accomplished the feat of translating a joke by Chiquito de la Calzada into Victorian English. Now he tries to get Southern Europeans to show up in time for the show.

Lobbyist and Brussels bubbler by day, he attempts to make some sense of it all through comedy. He has practiced stand up and improvisation for the last five years in Madrid, New York and Brussels, including sketch writing courses at Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC.

Cast and Crew

  • HILLE AUVINEN

    Writer, Performer, Props Manager

Hille trained as an actor and performer, but at The Schuman Show she’s the boss backstage. Kind, calm, and collected - but strict when it comes to costumes, props, and stage logistics! From beginning to end, she’ll ensure the show goes smoothly. Hille’s just as passionate and resourceful when it comes to designing challenges: she’s a DIY queen! Have you seen those alien tentacles on stage? During the day, Hille teaches to young students.

  • PAUL DALLISON

She brings her multicultural and multilingual background, work experiences in the non-profit, EU affairs and international relations sectors, and her passion for mixing art and activism. She can often be heard saying that comedy is a form of therapy.

Nastassia has been doing amateur theatre and improvisation for years, including with the American Theatre Company in Brussels. She has taken sketch writing courses at Upright Citizens Brigade in LA and with Kevin Scott in NYC. You may spot her dancing around while waiting for the bus.

Edward is Artistic Director of The Bridge Theatre, a Brussels non-profit delivering socially-relevant professional theatre productions and community workshops. Trained in musical theatre, Edward uses his musical and choreographic skills with the cast of The Schuman Show, teaching them to become all-dancing triple threats.

In his experience of working as an EU diplomat and speech writer, Edward is passionate about helping officials and lobbyists level up their public speaking skills. He is also a volunteer speaker coach with TEDxBrussels.

  • GABRIEL SOLER

    Director

Gabriel Soler is a Spanish actor born in Valencia, the city with more than 300 days of sun per year. Like every curious artist in search of contrasts, he left the good weather and moved to Brussels. Gabriel loves beach volleyball and surfing, but as a committed looking for drama, you'll often find him in central Europe working as an international full-time actor and director for TV shows, films, theatre and opera.
